♥ Bored With Cardio?
Bored with Your Cardio?
For most individuals, their cardio routines becomes boring after a while. It is more of a hassle to go exercise, then a desire; and we all know how terrible that is. A boring cardio work out will stop you from reaching your full potential. So here are a few ideas and tips to bring back the love in your cardio routines.
Bob Along
The first thing you should always remember is you need motivation for an intense cardio work out. One of the most successful motivators for cardio is music. If you don't have an MP3 player, go ahead and buy one. It costs between $20.00 - $30.00 and will surely keep you entertained and motivated.
Bring a Friend
Exercising alone can be quite boring, and even more then that, it can be very annoying. You tend to have all of these thoughts, no one to talk to, almost as though your going insane. Ask a friend to come jogging with you, and if you don't feel safe ask a few friends. This will allow for more fun, interaction, and a safer way to do a cardio workout.
Competition In your Mind
Tracking you progress and competing against it can be a sure fire way to motivate you to work out, even when you feel too tired or bored. You can set goals for yourself every day or every week. If you run a mile one day, try to run a mile and a half by the next week. Or lets say you ran 5 laps, the next day try and run six. This will give you motivation to try and "beat the best." Although you are the only one, you are trying to beat your best record.

If you normally work out in a gym, try going outside. Drive to a park or beach and do your cardio workout there. This will give you some fresh air, and new scenery to look at while you sweat. You will always have some time to clear your head, and feel that ocean mist on your skin. Although for city people this is very hard to do, you can try going to a ranch on the weekends, or head to the country. It will definitely do your mind and soul some good.
Change your Exercises
If you do the same old boring machines at the gym, your will get bored and quit. Instead of always using the treadmill, try using the bicycle; and vica versa. It might be nice to look into doing a variety of cardio work out ideas in one session. For example you can use the bicycle, rowing machine, then go for a jog. This will allow for your heart rate to stay up, and your scenery to change.
