♥ Aerobic vs. Anaerobic

Although both exercises are good for you, it is important to know the difference of the two. The main differences is that Aerobic exercises are longer, while Anaerobic exercises are generally shorter and to the point. Aerobic exercises call for more oxygen there for needing more endurance. Anaerobic exercises however rely on cellular tissue for energy instead of oxygen.

Before I go on lets look at which activities are for which exercise.

Aerobic= roller blading, walking, cycling, kick boxing, swimming, cross country and running.

Anaerobic= weight lifting, jumping, tennis, and even sprinting.

Anaerobic exercises are usually done in under around 30 seconds or so. Anaerobic exercises build power and high intensity strength. Where as aerobic exercises are spread over a period of time and are more for endurance. Aerobics also burns fat and tones m muscles. Some benefits of aerobic exercises are;

1. Reduced cholesterol, blood pressure, and fat

2. Strengthening your heart which helps pumping efficiency

3. Reducing more red blood cells which helps fro more oxygen in the body

4. Strengthens your bones and muscles

5. Reduces risk of diabetes, heart disease, vascular disease and lung function

Those are just some of the many benefits that Aerobics offers to you and your body.

While Anaerobic are shorter, they have a few huge benefits as well. One benefit is that it increases your energy. Anaerobic also speeds up your metabolism and lowers blood sugar. Your metabolism is vital for weight loss and weight gain. The weight and density of your bones will increase when participating in anaerobic exercises. Aside from this, your joints will harden. As you build muscle, you protect your joints and ligaments. A few other benefits are; increased mass and muscle strength, and an increase in power and speed.

The mistake most people make is doing other one or the other. They think that one is enough for a true work out. Although aerobics are great and can be done alone, you will see better results if you incorporate Anaerobic. These two combined will help to keep you in great physical and mental shape.

Make sure to always stretch before you start any type of work out. This will allow for more flexibility and looser muscles. Not stretching can cause muscle pain and a tear in muscles or ligaments. Over time you should gradually add more intensity to your workout. Along with a sufficient amount of sleep and a hearty diet, you’re set to go!

♥ Bored With Cardio?

Bored with Your Cardio?

For most individuals, their cardio routines becomes boring after a while. It is more of a hassle to go exercise, then a desire; and we all know how terrible that is. A boring cardio work out will stop you from reaching your full potential. So here are a few ideas and tips to bring back the love in your cardio routines.

Bob Along
The first thing you should always remember is you need motivation for an intense cardio work out. One of the most successful motivators for cardio is music. If you don't have an MP3 player, go ahead and buy one. It costs between $20.00 - $30.00 and will surely keep you entertained and motivated.

Bring a Friend
Exercising alone can be quite boring, and even more then that, it can be very annoying. You tend to have all of these thoughts, no one to talk to, almost as though your going insane. Ask a friend to come jogging with you, and if you don't feel safe ask a few friends. This will allow for more fun, interaction, and a safer way to do a cardio workout.

Competition In your Mind
Tracking you progress and competing against it can be a sure fire way to motivate you to work out, even when you feel too tired or bored. You can set goals for yourself every day or every week. If you run a mile one day, try to run a mile and a half by the next week. Or lets say you ran 5 laps, the next day try and run six. This will give you motivation to try and "beat the best." Although you are the only one, you are trying to beat your best record.

Switch up the View
If you normally work out in a gym, try going outside. Drive to a park or beach and do your cardio workout there. This will give you some fresh air, and new scenery to look at while you sweat. You will always have some time to clear your head, and feel that ocean mist on your skin. Although for city people this is very hard to do, you can try going to a ranch on the weekends, or head to the country. It will definitely do your mind and soul some good.

Change your Exercises
If you do the same old boring machines at the gym, your will get bored and quit. Instead of always using the treadmill, try using the bicycle; and vica versa. It might be nice to look into doing a variety of cardio work out ideas in one session. For example you can use the bicycle, rowing machine, then go for a jog. This will allow for your heart rate to stay up, and your scenery to change.

♥ Slow Computer? Basic Clean-Up

If your computer is running slow, sometimes there are simple steps you can take to fix that problem. Now, this won't always work because you may have a serious error, but try these tips and tricks before calling your computer provider and paying for help.

First off open up your Internet browser and click tools. Once you have clicked tools, click internet options, and then make sure you’re under the general tab. Under browsing settings click delete, then delete your cookies and temp. Internet files.

This will help to get rid of some of the clogged up space on your computer. Once you are done, be sure to clear your recycling bin.

Second off go under your documents and photos and delete the ones that you don't need any more. Keeping them on your computer is just taking up space. If you have any documents that you want but don't NEED, try sending them to your email and saving them into their own folder. This way you can still have them, and it won't take up your computer space. Next if you don't already have one, create a photobucket if you have a lot of photos on your computer. Your photos will be safe in your photobucket as long as you don't post any nudity photos. This will give you more space on your hard drive as well.

Third, go to Start, Control Panel, then double clicked Add or Remove Programs (remove programs for Vista users.) Once you are here, at the top right hand corner there is a drop down box, set it to size or name. Look through the list for any programs you no longer use and uninstall them. Some examples may be AIM, YIM, Photoshop (if it was a 30 day trial), Microsoft Office (if it was a 30 day trial) and even games that you have downloaded. This is surely to remove a lot of space.

Remember though, DO NOT remove a program if you don't know what it is. In doing so you could damage your computer.

Fourth, run daily virus scans and Malware/Spyware scans to keep your computer protected. If you have Comcast, you get McAfee Virus Protection for free. For others users who don’t have Comcast and don’t want to buy protection, you can download AVG free edition online. This edition is very good, and I have personally used it before. Make sure you run it daily, or at least once a week to make sure your computer is clean.

The next step is to download a spyware tool. I personally recommend Malwarebytes. I did some research on free spyware protection and found Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is a great software, and I use it one a week. I recommend scanning at least once every two weeks if not more common.

5th, go to start, all programs, accessories and then system tools. You can run a disk defragmenter to clear up some space, as well as a disk clean up. This will help to eliminate some space and downsize some files. It will also remove all files that were previously on the computer from old programs.

Last but not least call your computer provider. Once you have called ask a technician how to turn off your start up programs. This will help you because you can control which programs start when you turn your computer turns on. The more that start up, the slower your Internet and computer move.

Do these simple steps and hopefully your computer will be running faster in no time!
